No time for a pet? You can rent one.

No time for a pet? Then rent one. A California company has begun offering FlexPetz, a new service for dog-lovers who just don't have the time to care for a pet, or the space.

The "shared dog" service is available in Los Angeles and San Diego. Hanging out with man's best friend has a price. The annual fee runs about $100 a year. FlexPetz customers then make a monthly payment of about $50. A per-visit charge runs about $40.

The FlexPetz founder said only dogs with social temperaments are picked for the program. The current 10-dog crew includes Afghan hounds, Labrador retrievers and Boston terriers. » Article here

That just make me sick to my stomach. Not at you or your blog but at the idea of renting a pet. A pet is suppose be part of a family. The SAME family. A K9 security or police dog stays with its handler.

You also cannot compare this to therapy dogs you see in hospitals that see different patients as they are still in that general location.

It is stressful enough as it is moving for me let alone moving every weekend.

THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL
