Dude I broke my iPod Nano!
Apple’s iPod Nano is probably the coolest and smallest mp3 player ever made, but tons of Nano owners are complaining about the screen getting scratched/broken too easily. Apple’s support forum contains several hundred postings discussing the problem, with some claiming that their Nano’s screen is unreadable because of the scratches.
“I don’t really care if the case on my Nano gets scratched but my screen has scratched up so badly that all the images are starting to become distorted.”
There is even a site dedicated to this problem called FlawedMusicPlayer.com. If you do ever break your Nano, rest assured there is a iPod nano LCD screen replacement service from $99 to $145.
My take on this? Maybe Apple should of tested this more thoroughly. I mean, for an mp3 player being so small- you could only expect that customers would toss them around...or atleast be able to put them in their pocket without fear of breaking them.
