Woman goes to extreme to skip date

A Kentucky woman is now charged with lying about being kidnapped, raped, shot and stabbed -- so she wouldn't have to meet her Internet boyfriend and his mother.

Eighteen-year-old Laura Crews has turned herself into Missouri authorities. Police say she was supposed to fly into Kansas City. Instead, police say she called her boyfriend and claimed to have been the victim of a horrendous crime.

The guy's mother called 9-1-1, setting off an extensive police search. She has been charged with a misdemeanor count of filing a false report. Click here to read the article.
