Woman sues own parents after dog attack
A woman is suing her parents after their 120-pound Rottweiler allegedly attacked her two-year-old son while he played on the floor.
Tanya Davis is accusing Connie and Michael Davis of raising a dog that could viciously bite and attack the child. The lawsuit says the child will continue to suffer disfigurement, mental anguish and pain from the attack, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported Wednesday.
"It's torn this family right in two," Connie Davis said. "I feel worse than you can ever imagine." The dog was euthanized right after the Dec. 29 attack, she said. She declined to comment on the facts of the case after talking with her attorney.
Tanya Davis' attorney, Martin Rosen, said the child is still not doing well, but declined to comment further about details of the case. He said it would likely be settled before a trial.
