Dude chases his hat on highway then hit by SUV

A man who chased his wind-blown hat onto a highway was listed in good condition after he was hit by a sport utility vehicle. Rick Uvaney was hit by an SUV driven by Tamara Boyle.

A release from the Iowa State Patrol said Uvaney was securing a load on the driver's side of a semi when his hat was caught by the wind. “The victim attempted to retrieve the hat and ran into the left lane where he was struck by” Boyle’s 2002 Ford Expedition, the release said.

Boyle's vehicle then swerved into the right lane and sideswiped the semi. No charges were filed against Boyle. » Article here

Wow, that man nearly killed that family. That woman's children could of been killed because he ran out into the riad after what? A HAT?! He should be charged with something. What a terrible terrible experience for all parties involved. I hope that man realizes that he almost killed four children. That woman only acted naturally,..she and her family are probably suffering emotional trauma from this terrible accident.
