"The Joy of Painting..." with my friend Nick.

This weekend I asked my friend Nick to create an abstract replica painting of "Allen Field House", the arena where my Alma Mater (KU) plays basketball. Here's a quick video blog of the entire experience:

Dude, I noticed you said "Yahtzee" when you finished. That's freaking weird. My friends and I have been saying Yahtzee for years now and are always amazed when someone else's group of friends says it too. I'm not sure where we got it but we were saying it before it was said on Scrubs (when someone tosses car keys to what's his face and he says it).

My buddy named his boat "Yachtzee" although I disagree with the spelling on it. I always had the dream that when I got a boat I'd name it that too (bastard stole my idea) only mine would be spelled "YachtSea" since you have to do stuff like that with boat names...getting creative and all.

So, when did you start saying Yahtzee?

Wow -- I gotta say, you've put a lot more thought into saying the phrase "Yahtzee" than I ever have. However, the explanation in why I use it is simple ...it's Jim Carrey quote from the movie "Bruce Almighty".

Ever since then -- been saying it as a part of my vernacular for years...

Love using it.
