A picture is worth a thousand words…literally!

You know in the movies when CIA agents use pictures to profile criminals- you never think the stuff they are using could ever be real. Think again. Introducing FaceAnalyzer.com

What you do is upload a picture on to their site, & they analyze your facial characteristics to personality traits. Supposedly their biometric software automatically finds and measures certain key facial features. They use these measurements with algorithms to determine your inherent personality profile.

They claim they are to determine your race and gender- an 87% success rate (all by just analyzing a picture!). Now I went on the site with skepticism…but holy crap, its scary how much information about your cultural background & personality they can extract from just a picture.

BASE jumping, these guys are crazy!

So I was driving downtown the other day- saw 2 dudes who just jumped off a building gliding down with parachutes (along with a squad of cops waiting). Then I realized what these guys just did- BASE jumping.

BASE jumping is the sport of using a parachute to jump from fixed objects. "BASE" is an acronym that stands for the four categories of objects from which one can jump; (B)uilding, (A)ntenna (an uninhabited tower such as an aerial mast), (S)pan (a bridge, arch or dome), and (E)arth (a cliff or other natural formation). BASE jumping is much more dangerous than skydiving from aircraft and is currently regarded as a fringe extreme sport. Basically these guys jump off of anything and have a parachute to stop them right before they get to the bottom.

This video below is NOT for the faint-at-heart. The video involves an accident during a BASE jump, and may be disturbing to some. Obviously this guy is still alive- but I wonder just how many bones he broke. Its crazy that he was able to move any part of his body after this accident!
