The Top 10 cars/SUVs to have sex in...

The car, "Volvo Estate" has been voted the best car to have sex in. The 'passion wagon'- renowned for its reliability on the road and spacious interior - has lived through more steamy encounters than any other vehicle.
The poll of 4,000 people, conducted by car insurer, placed the surfers' favourite VW Camper Van in third place. The poll revealed that a staggering 68 per cent of people have had sex in a car.

An overwhelming 81 per cent of couples have got frisky in the car, but restrained themselves before going the whole distance. More worryingly, both for road users and car insurers, one in ten thrill seekers have actually engaged in sex while driving.

People are most likely to stop in a lay-by to embark on a steamy session than outside their own house - a frisky 48 per cent prefer to park up wherever possible. A quiet car park or country lane are also popular options for couples, as are multi-storey car parks and supermarket car parks.

Paul Purdy added: "Over six per cent of people have damaged their car whilst engaging in the act, but less than one per cent end up making an insurance claim, probably through a combination of the damage being so small and the embarrassment of having to explain how it was caused."

"Rear-view mirrors are the most easily damaged objects, followed by ripped fabric seating." The research showed that around one in eight people had actually been caught whilst in the act in their vehicle.

Man steals firetruck to prove girlfriend he's fireman

An Australian conman who wanted to be a fireman stopped at traffic accidents to offer help and even stole a fire truck so he could impress his girlfriend with a joyride, a court heard on Friday.

The court heard that Jobson had broken into Queensland fire stations, stealing uniforms, radios and safety equipment during a spree lasting from September 2003 until December 2004 -- soon after he had been released from jail on similar offences.

Pretending to be a fireman, he would stop at traffic accidents and offer help, Australian Associated Press reported.

Prosecutors said Jobson had even done a fire inspection on a pub in Queensland's Sunshine Coast holiday strip and made safety suggestions that were acted upon.

He also broke into a Sunshine Coast fire station and stole a fire truck, which he used in a joyride for his girlfriend, who believed he was a fireman.

Jobson's lawyer Tony Entriken said his client wanted psychiatric treatment because he had a "burning desire to overcome his disorder."

Simon Francis Jobson pleaded guilty to 30 charges including fraud, theft, forgery and impersonating a public official, local media reported. Judge Michael Forde sentenced Jobson to five years in jail. Article here.

Man drives his car 310 miles in reverse?

A 22-year-old man attempted to drive 310 miles in reverse on a remote Australian highway after his transmission failed, blocking his forward gears, police said Friday. The man was stopped by Western Australia state police on Thursday afternoon after they spotted his car roaring in reverse down the highway at about 40 mph, according to a statement.

He was en route to the state capital, Perth, when his transmission failed outside a restaurant in the Outback town of Kalgoorlie, about 300 miles away, according to media reports.

Rather than call a mechanic, the man opted to continue driving, in reverse. Police said they stopped the man, whose identity was not immediately released, outside the nearby town of Coolgardie, about 12 miles from where his backward journey began.

A breath test for alcohol proved negative, but the man was charged with reckless driving and other traffic offenses, police said. Article here.

I can’t believe this is a real music video. Furthermore, we have to put up with another Lohan in the tabloids? Great.

Dude stole over 136 cars, 'he enjoyed driving'?

23-year-old Liam Moynihan had been on a one-man crime wave, stealing more cars than anyone in King County history. Armed with only a screwdriver and hammer, they say, he jimmied his way into at least 136 vehicles during a six-month joyride of epic proportions.

From last November until his arrest in May, Moynihan allegedly stole enough cars to stock a good-sized dealership, averaging one theft every 32 hours.

And he didn't discriminate. While favoring Subarus and Hondas, Moynihan allegedly heisted minivans and pickups, station wagons and SUVs, sedans and coupes. Foreign and domestic. Old and new.

And unlike many car thieves, Moynihan didn't sell the stolen cars for parts, say detectives in Seattle's Major Crimes Task Force, which investigates car thefts. Instead, they say, Moynihan simply liked to drive, often taking a stolen car out for a spin for a few hours, sometimes until the gas tank ran dry, and then stealing another.

Moynihan would sometimes drive 200 miles a day, they said. Police say he had no job but did have a girlfriend he liked to keep entertained, apparently by stealing cars.
"He was a nice kid, very forthright, intelligent. But he knew how to do this certain thing, and he was good at it," the detective said.

Moynihan was charged Thursday in King County Superior Court with 25 counts of first-degree theft. Police think he actually stole 153 vehicles during that six-month period, and many more in his lifetime. Article here.
