Yep, you guessed it. Today is my birthday!

Well, I guess it’s that time of the year again… today is my birthday.

However, being the optimist that I am – I’ve been thinking not about today, but rather the day AFTER my birthday. The day after your birthday is the worst day ever, because it’s not your birthday anymore and people go back to ignoring you.

Anyways, so you know due to the holiday weekend – Across the Board will resume on Tuesday. I'll be headed to the lake… hope you have a great weekend!

65-year-old golfer killed after driving off 75-foot cliff

A 65-year-old golfer died Tuesday after his golf cart plunged 75 feet off a cliff and crashed into a road below, authorities said.

The man teed off with three friends on the second hole in San Diego then got into his cart. The vehicle veered off the concrete pathway, traveled down a 25-foot embankment and went over the edge of a cliff, California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Kerns said.

The recently retired real estate agent from Irvine was ejected shortly before the cart hit the road beneath the cliff and died on impact, Kerns said. His name was not immediately released. No one else was involved in the crash. Article here.

The best tourists in the world are the Japanese

The best tourists in the world are the Japanese, followed by Americans and the Swiss, a survey based on views from hoteliers across Europe said Wednesday.

Japanese tourists stood out for being polite and tidy, securing 35 percent more votes than the Americans who came second. Swiss tourists were commended for being quiet and considerate, unlike the Britons who were judged to be the fifth worst tourists because of rude behavior, noise and a miserly attitude to tipping.
