Nelly Furtado is a bisexual?
Canadian singer Nelly Furtado admits she's attracted to women and believes all people are essentially bisexual.
The 'promiscuous' star believes people should have the freedom to experiment with their sexuality and has no qualms being attracted to the same sex.
She tells European gay magazine gus, "I'm reading a book about Chinese medicine, which claims that people are inherently bisexual to balance their energies. "And, in a way, that makes so much sense.
The 'Fly Like A Bird' singer admits she is attracted to women adding, "Absolutely! Women are beautiful and sexy!" Article here.
Teen hit by lightning while playing online poker
A teenager hit by lightning while playing online poker spent Thursday recovering at an area hospital.
Eddie Wilkenson, 17, was electrocuted Wednesday afternoon when a lightning strike traveled through his home computer. "I heard the lightning and I saw a flash. I felt a jolt go up my right arm and through my whole body," he told the Pensacola News Journal. "I couldn't move. My whole body was weak."
A few minutes later, he phoned his mother for help. She called paramedics and drove across town to reach her son.
The family said the teen will need physical therapy to recover full use of his arm. Eddie Wilkenson said he had been warned about using the computer in storms, but didn't take the warnings seriously. Article here.

Bet on Brad Pitt cheating on Angelina Jolie?
Paparazzi and celebrity odds makers relentlessly continue to harass the Jolie-Pitt family. The latest newsflash on the world famous couple comes from sports betting giant BETonSPORTS.com celebrity analysts who posted odds on the Bradd Pitt cheating on Angelina, following newly circulating rumors questioning Brad’s “manhood” and Jessica Simpson’s unveiled lusts for Pitt.
Will history repeat itself? After all Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston divorced after Brad had allegedly gotten involved with Angelina while the future couple was making 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith".
Brad Pitt was recently appointed "himbo" (an attractive but vacuous man — think "male bimbo") by the Hollywood media. To make things even worst for Brad a venom-spitting Jennifer Aniston slammed her ex-husband by saying he was a flop in bed, thebosh.com reported.
Nnewly divorced Jessica Simpson reported having a crush on Brad. When asked what her ideal man would look like, Jessica Simpson told a journalist: "Brad Pitt in Fight Club; you can't get much better than that! I still dream about his body!"
To further complicate an already mind blowing set of rumors Jennifer Aniston stated once again she suspects Brad is gay at a brief press conference she held to thank her supporters "for this meaningful honor." Aniston was recently chosen by Entertainment Tonight viewers as the star that best represents American values.
Brad's odds appear to be worth a bet. $100 wagered on Brad cheating on Angelina before 12/31/06 would eventually pay $150 should the rumors be confirmed and should Jessica Simpson succeed in her attempt to satisfy her lust for Brad. Article here.
Doctors make lots of mistakes and errors?
More than 1.5 million Americans are injured every year by drug errors in hospitals, nursing homes and doctor's offices, a count that doesn't even estimate patients' own medication mix-ups, says a report that calls for major steps to increase patient safety.
Topping that list: All prescriptions should be written electronically by 2010, the Institute of Medicine said. At least a quarter of all medication-related injuries are preventable, the institute concluded in the report it released Thursday.
Perhaps the most stunning finding of the report was that, on average, a hospitalized patient is subject to at least one medication error per day, despite intense efforts to improve hospital care in the six years since the institute began focusing attention on medical mistakes of all kinds.
The new probe couldn't say how many victims of drug errors die. A 1999 estimate put the number of deaths, conservatively, at 7,000 a year. Also unknown is how many of the injuries are serious.
But a preventable drug error can add more than $5,800 to the hospital bill of a single patient. Assuming that hospitals commit 400,000 preventable drug errors each year, that's $3.5 billion not counting lost productivity and other costs from hospitals alone, the report concluded.
Want advice? Consumers need to be aggressive in questioning doctors, nurses and pharmacists about their medications, whether they're watching over a hospitalized loved one or figuring out their own pills at home. Article here.

Motorist plays dead in street for car help?
A driver stranded on a remote stretch of Australian highway Wednesday tried to summon help by playing dead in the middle of the road, a police officer said.
A woman who was driving with her two children spotted the man and had to swerve to avoid hitting him, said Doug Backhouse, a detective with the Western Australia state police.
"She drove around the body which didn't move at all and got to the nearest phone," Backhouse said. Local police arrived with an ambulance and found the man alive and well, but with car troubles.
"The best way he thought to get a vehicle to stop was to lay down in the middle of the road and pretend to be dead," Backhouse said, adding that the man didn't think anyone would stop if he were standing up.
Police said they told the man that lying in the road was "a stupid thing to do," but didn't charge him with any offense. Article here.
Man pays $30,000 for date with Jessica Biel
How much would you pay for a date with someone Esquire magazine considers the sexiest woman alive?
A man, only identified as John, paid $30,000 Tuesday night for a date with actress Jessica Biel during a local fundraiser, reported Denver TV station KMGH-TV.
The money goes to help Molly Bloom, a teenager who was seriously hurt May 13 when her prom-night limo dragged her 38 feet. She lost her left leg and part of her pelvis. (I blogged this story on 05/17/06)
The fundraiser, dubbed Mollypalooza, featured East High School bands and auctions for dates with young men. But the key item up for bid was a date with "7th Heaven" star Biel.
Biel's father, who was first approached about a way the actress could help raise money for Bloom, acknowledged that it's for a good cause.
The winner said his name is John and said he's the senior vice president for an oil and gas company in Denver. Their lunch date will take place Aug. 18, when Biel returns to Colorado to accept a humanitarian award.
The entire fundraiser raked in $44,000, money which will go to help pay Bloom's medical bills. She's now rehabilitating at Children's Hospital. Article here.
