Dude rips off duck's head inside hotel lobby, says 'I'm hungry'.

He ripped the head off a live duck inside a hotel lobby. That's the accusation St. Paul police made early Saturday against a 26-year-old Denver man staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown St. Paul.

The hotel's spacious lobby atrium features an ornamental pond that at one point contained eight domesticated ducks. Shortly before 2:35 a.m., Scott D. Clark, who had told hotel employees he was in town on business, chased a duck across the area and cornered it, according to St. Paul police Sgt. John Wuorinen.
"He was allegedly drunk," Wuorinen said Saturday as he read a police report of the incident.

As a hotel security guard and others watched, Clark grabbed the bird and "ripped its head from its body," the police report said. Clark turned to onlookers and said: "I'm hungry. I'm gonna eat it," said Wuorinen, quoting from the report. » Article here

Dude sends text message to wrong girl; 'Hey beautiful, the back door's open'

The wife of former Australian cricket champion Shane Warne says their marriage reconciliation is over after he mistakenly sent her an incriminating text message.

Simone Callahan, who reunited last December with the spin bowler known also for his womanizing, told a woman's magazine she caught Warne cheating on her while he was in London. As Callahan got the couple's three children ready for school in Melbourne, a text dropped into the inbox of her mobile phone, she told New Idea magazine.

"Hey beautiful, I'm just talking to my kids, the back door's open," the message from Warne said.

"You loser, you sent the message to the wrong person," Callahan sent back.
She told the magazine the message confirmed her suspicions that Warne was again cheating on her and that his lover had been to their London home before. "He confirmed there was someone else and told me he was sorry. I gave it to him big time -- I left him in no doubt as to what I think of him and that was it." » Article here

Dude kills road worker over his damaged wheel

An irate driver shot dead a Moscow road worker and injured a second after a wheel on his Mercedes car was damaged on a city street early Sunday, Interfax news agency reported.

Described by Moscow police as a short man in his late twenties, the driver returned with a pistol and opened fire on the workmen just minutes after they refused to compensate him for the damage the roadworks had caused. The dead man, aged 28, came from Georgia and had only started working for the construction firm two days earlier. » Article here

$14,500 for dessert? Wow, that's expensive.

A Sri Lankan resort is charging $14,500 for what it calls the world's most expensive dessert, a fruit infused confection complete with a chocolate sculpture and a gigantic gemstone.

"The Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence" was created to give visitors at The Fortress resort in the coastal city of Galle a one-of-a-kind experience, said the hotel's public relations manager, Shalini Perera.

The dessert is a gold leaf Italian cassata flavored with Irish cream, served with a mango and pomegranate compote and a champagne sabayon enlighten. The dessert is decorated with a chocolate carving of a fisherman clinging to a stilt, an age old local fishing practice, and an 80 carat aquamarine stone.

The dessert has to be specially ordered, Perera said. Though the hotel has gotten calls about it from as far away as Japan, she said, no one has yet forked over the money to try it. » Article here
