Woman: I offered sexual services to pay my mortgage

A woman who advertised her services on the free Web site Craigslist had run-ins twice this month with police after she offered sex to undercover officers for money, authorities said. Police arrested Tonya M. Karimi, 31, on Aug. 13 on suspicion of prostitution. She bailed herself out of jail, and the case was referred to the Waukesha County district attorney.

City of Pewaukee police gave her a ticket Aug. 2 that accused her of operating an escort service without a license. In both investigations, she offered sex for payment, authorities said.

Hartland police learned of Karimi's advertisement from an Oconomowoc detective, Police Chief Robert Rosch said. The ad included a semi-nude photo of Karimi, her phone number and the village in which she lived, he said. The ad also said she charged more if she met the person somewhere other than her home. » Article here

[New Trend Alert] Brides are buying two dresses, one for the ceremony, one for the reception

Emily Youssef set out to buy one wedding dress. But she was bewitched by two, and after a little needling, her mother caved and purchased both.

The striking 27-year-old newlywed wore the strapless Giorgio Armani ($2,700) with three ribboned tiers for the October ceremony, barefoot on the beach in Florida. (The bridesmaids wore white flip-flops; the groomsmen had their pale-blue shirts out.)

For the reception, she donned a Jim Hjelm design ($1,700) that featured her carefully tanned real estate; with plunging back and necklines, and long, skinny, crystal-encrusted straps, it was a modified A-line in white silk.

[New Buzzword Alert] Do you have a 'frenemy'?

Love-hate, friend-enemy relationships are high-profile examples of the "frenemy" phenomenon.

The term has most often been used to describe females who tangle with their female friends. And this notion, says Terri Apter, co-author of "Best Friends: The Pleasures and Perils of Girls' and Women's Friendships," isn't that far off the mark.

Females are more competitive with their friends than men due to cultural circumstance, Apter theorizes. "They (women) sometimes idealize their friendships -- they should only be loving and supportive -- whereas the wider culture allows men to enact the inevitable competitive feelings openly, without feeling ashamed or guilty," she says.

Every friendship -- no matter how solid or tentative -- has mixed feelings of support and antagonism. Apter says that "among female friends there is also something else: a wish to offer support and see a friend thrive, on the one hand, and a fear of being left behind or out-shone, on the other." In essence, the "hate" part of a love-hate relationship isn't really hate -- it's envy or insecurity. » Article here

If you buy this DVD it comes with a barf bag.

One way to appeal to one segment of the youthful male market so beloved by film producers -- package your DVD with its own "barf bag."

Genius Products home entertainment is including a paper bag with each copy of its new "Dirty Sanchez" DVD of outlandish pranks and stunts performed by a troupe of four British men who go by the same name.

The bags underscore the message that the DVD is so sickening that even its makers fear viewers may vomit. "(The 'barf bag') was a fun way for us to communicate directly with fans, and tell them what the DVD is all about," said Scott Heffron, Genius' vice president of marketing. The DVD follows the Brits as they travel the globe performing stunts. In one scene, they convince a man he can set a world record by getting shot with over 100 paint balls, and later admit no such record exists. » Article here
