'Life's Short. Get A Divorce' billboard is offensive?

City workers have stripped the sign from its perch after a week of complaints from neighbors and from other attorneys who said it reflected poorly on their profession.

A city alderman Burton Natarus, who lives near the sign, said he called the building inspector, and that the law firm's ad was taken down because the firm didn't have a permit, and not because of what it said -- or because of the scantily clad man and woman on it.
The two lawyers who had the sign put up said they're upset that it was removed. They also said the calls to their law firm have gone up dramatically since the billboard went up last week.

"The message really is that life is very, very short, and you need to be honest with yourself and have some personal integrity," said the creator of the billboard, divorce lawyer Corri Fetman. "If you are unhappy, take some action and do something about it." Full article here.

Britney Spears says K-Fed was her 'biggest mistake'

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have hammered out the details of their split, and it’s reportedly going to cost the “Toxic” singer $13 million. What’s more, Star magazine says that Spears was reluctant to finalize the split.
“Do you really want to do this?” Spears asked K-Fed as the two met to discuss final details of their divorce, reports to the upcoming issue of the tab. K-Fed said yes, and his estranged wife replied, “You’re the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, but thank you for my babies.”

Among the details, according to the tab:
  • A 2004 prenup called for K-Fed to get $250,000 for each year of their marriage, but Spears upped that figure to $500,000 to speed up the negotiations.

  • He receives half the proceeds from their Malibu mansion, which is on the market for $13.5 million.

  • Spears will pay $25,000 a month in child support for each of the couple’s two children until they reach 18. He also gets custody of the boys four days a week.

  • Federline gets to keep all the gifts Spears bought them during their marriage.

  • He’s forbidden from writing a tell-all about their marriage. Source.
